National Life Chain Events: Interior Right To Life To Host Pro-Life Rallies Against Abortion In Fairbanks And North Pole On October 6th

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that Interior Right To Life will be holding two pro-life rallies against abortion in the Fairbanks area on Sunday October 6th, 2013. Pro-life activists will gather from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Johansen Expressway and University Avenue in downtown Fairbanks and from 3-4 p.m. at the roundabout in North Pole. The organization will provide signs for those who choose to show up, and invite further enquiries at 479-LIFE (5433). Here's a short promotional video:

The rallies are part of a nationwide series of Life Chain events intended to protest the cruelty of abortion and to encourage to pray that governments will offer wisdom and compassion for unborn children, according to Interior Right to Life President Pamela Samash. According to, the Fairbanks rallies are the only ones scheduled in Alaska as of this post. However, an allied group, 40 Days For Life, is holding two vigils in Alaska through November 3rd:

-- Planned Parenthood, 4001 Lake Otis Parkway, Anchorage
-- Valley Women's Health Clinic, 425 East Dahlia Avenue, Palmer

Here's a video by Alexander Tsiaras I originally embedded on November 25th, 2011. It graphically shows the process of human progression, beginning by showing an egg being fertilized and ending by illustrating a baby’s actual birth. The actual sequence of fetal development begins at 2:05

Those who are interested in participating in the LifeChain event should review the Life Chain Principles to become aware of the expected standards of behavior at their rallies. People of all faiths who oppose elective abortion are invited to participate.
