The Pentagon says the investigation into General Carey's behavior is not yet completed, but they absolutely deny there was any sexual misconduct involved, and more conditionally denied alcohol involvement. The Pentagon also claims the allegations are not related to the operational readiness of the ICBM force or recent failed inspections of ICBM units. While some degree of confidentially is required to avoid contaminating the investigation, the entire explanation sounds murky.
What makes the act spurious is that it comes close on the heels of the firing of the second-in-command at U.S. Strategic Command, Vice Adm. Tim Giardina, amidst an investigation into alleged gambling issues. Giardina has been the focus of a criminal investigation looking into his suspected use of counterfeit gambling chips in a poker game at a western Iowa casino. No explanation was offered as to why a flag officer whose pay and allowances add up to six figures each year would want or need to use "counterfeit gambling chips".
Infowars offers more details about why General Carey might have been axed. They point to a report they authored about transfer of secret and unsigned nuclear weapons from Dyess Air Force base to South Carolina. They also say that the nuclear warheads in question were being transferred without a paper trail, and that the terminations of the officers were not meant to be leaked — especially not the fact that the suspension of the #2 in command (Carey) was issued on the exact day of the nuke transfer.
Other senior officers suddenly "fired" during the past year include Gen. Carter Ham on October 18th, 2012, Adm. Charles Gaouette on October 27th, Gen. David Petraeus on November 9th, and Gen. John Allen, on November 13th. All were fired shortly after the Benghazi debacle. In addition, On December 6th, 2012, Marine Corps General James Mattis, who has served in the U.S. military for 40 years and is widely revered by rank-and-file Marines for his blunt talk and forthright leadership, was fired by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, although the spin was that Mattis was merely ordered to "vacate his office several months earlier than planned". All the officers fired are white, although this could simply reflect the demographics of the senior officer corps.
However, other tactics are being used to ensure that only Obama's loyal minions occupy influential positions within the military. At Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, a military chaplain got censored. An article entitled “No Atheists in Foxholes: Chaplains Gave All in World War II,” posted by Lt. Col. Kenneth Reyes, was removed from the JBER website in July 2013 after the rabidly anti-Christian group Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) protested. Ironically, the MRFF is headed by an obnoxious Jewish supremacist, Mikey Weinstein, who once served as an Air Force officer. But after an outcry of protest, the article was restored to the JBER website in August.
Ever since he took over in January 2009, President Obama has sought to reinvent the military from the ground up. Not only was "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" abandoned, but women are now allowed to apply for submarine and combat positions. Worse yet, the military hasn't merely become neutral about homosexuality, but has become pro-gay, allowing its members to march IN UNIFORM in gay pride parades. Furthermore, the military even sent recruiters to San Francisco's Gay Pride Parade in June 2013. It's obvious the Obama Administration is resolved to transform the military into something completely different from what it always has been, and the sudden removal of a large number of senior officers may be designed to accelerate the change as well as to deter the possibility of an Auguste Pinochet-style coup. The kerfluffle over the nuclear weapons transfer may be a straw man set up to deter suspicion.

Does anyone believe this garbage? First, a top nuclear commander is fired for 'using counterfeit poker chips.' Then, another gets fired because of 'alcoholism?' Give me a break. Does anybody look at the Alex Jones website? A.J. has been reporting for about a month that nukes were moved from Dyess AFB. The first nuclear commander was fired on THE DAY the nukes reportedly left the base. Wake up people! This thing stinks to high heaven!!!

If you google how many top level US military commanders have been removed, sacked, demoted and killed it is truly frightening and what is just as worrying is that the media is complicit in its lack of coverage. The litmus test for Generals now is will they order troops to fire on US citizens, if they refuse somehow they will be removed.

Okay, we have a Navy Admiral and an Army General relieved "for cause" during the "phony scandal" of Benghazi. Now we have Air Force Generals in charge of nukes relieved "for cause" because of gambling and alcohol, not to mention all the others out there. Why is Obama and his minions going after the US military's senior leadership? There's something that 1) he's afraid of about them 2) he's planning something. Neither choice is very soothing to my worries. More to follow...

A lot of military leaders are being fired these days. Very rare occurrence during my 20 year career. Getting fired in the military is NOT getting discharged. It results in being moved into a job beneath the rank held. This General will likely become the head of a supply division at a wing level somewhere until he decides to retire.

... General James Mattis ... General Stanley McChrystal ... General David Petraeus ... General Ralph Baker ... General Carter Ham ... Admiral Charles Gaouette and now... General Michael Carey. Obama's "War on Generals" or is the military just filled with incompetent, morally repugnant "flag" officers?
