The Complete Lou Dobbs Interview On Telemundo With Maria Celeste; Did The Former CNN Anchor Really "Sell Out" On Illegal Immigration?

Update December 3rd: Lou Dobbs and William Gheen squared off on a November 30th radio program; updated post HERE.

On November 20st, 2009, former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs was interviewed by Maria Celeste on Telemundo. During the interview, which was hostile for the most part, Dobbs reiterated much of his previous stance on illegal immigration. He promotes stronger border security, and boldly confronted Latino supremacists like La Raza's Janet Murguia on his CNN program. In response to a question about legalization of illegals, Dobbs simply said "we need the ability to legalize illegal immigrants under certain conditions." He also said "What isn't working is a penalty to those who are in this country illegally for whom we can both be building a bridge to the future in which there is legalization and at the same time constructing an environment in which everyone is clear and unequivocal about the need for border security and a regulated flow of immigration."

This is really no different than what he's said in the past, which you can review on the Lou Dobbs website. Yet somehow, a number of patriots got the impression that Dobbs wants to legalize all 12 million illegals, so they're accusing him of "selling out". The most vocal critics are on ALIPAC, Stormfront, and the Vanguard News Network Forum. Media stories on this interview were published by the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times.

But did he really "sell out"? Watch the videos below and decide for yourself.

Part 3:

"Selling out" means you change your previous position for opportunistic reasons. Now while I didn't like the idea that Dobbs opened up the interview by apologizing for not speaking Spanish, that doesn't make him a sellout. Dobbs has always favored a limited amnesty, and he's not changed that position. Perhaps some people attributed more to Lou Dobbs than was appropriate. I don't agree with any amnesty - the "path to citizenship" for illegals leads back OUTSIDE the United States - but just because Dobbs thinks a bit differently doesn't make him a sellout. People also forget that Dobbs has a Latina wife.

Regardless, Lou Dobbs is still a passionate and articulate defender of America's sovereignty, and if he runs for the Senate from New Jersey and wins, he will have a better immigration position than 90 percent of the U.S. Senate.

  1. We TAKE BACK EVERY GOOD THING we EVER SAID ABOUT DOBBS b/c it turns out that he is JUST another TRAITOR b/c of his CAPITULATION to ILLEGAL ALIENS & their supporters by joining their ranks just so he can win against an Hispanic in a run for political office. THE EVIDENCE of his BETRAYAL is when he said TWICE that he NOW supports amnesty...oh, naturally he didn't use the EXACT word amnesty but that IS what he meant when he said that we need to "legalize illegal immigrants under certain conditions"...say it anyway you want Lou but it's still calling for AMNESTY & I am NOT taking ANYTHING "out of context". Words have meaning & his words are plain as day...legalizing ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN (ie a CRIMINAL) under ANY CONDITIONS IS AMNESTY, PERIOD. He has SOLD OUT the USA, her SOVEREIGNTY & her citizens (naturally born & those LEGITIMATELY LEGALIZED aka sans via AMNESTY).

SHAME ON HIM & SHAME ON US FOR BELIEVING IN HIM. Our family (immediate & extended) is made up of naturally born & LEGITIMATELY NATURALIZED citizens & HE SLAPPED ALL OF US RIGHT IN THE FACE BY BETRAYING US & VOICING APPROVAL FOR ANY AMNESTY!!!

We wouldn't give him our vote now for "dog catcher" let alone for gov or federal office.

BTW, I DO speak Spanish, HOWEVER, I won't type it here b/c I doubt it would get past the profanity filter.
