Unfortunately, it won't just be her "bust" - it will also be her bustline. The Leo Kesting Gallery will be displaying a bust of Michelle Obama in New York City beginning on Wednesday October 1st. Photo of the bust at left.
The artist is sculptor Daniel Edwards, whose creation is the latest installment of his “Inspire America” series. The sexy, bare-shouldered style-enhancement is intended to highlight Obama’s ethnicity to create a new fashion template for the 21st Century First Lady.

This is not a parody story like you would find on the Onion, Landover Baptist, or Eyes On Hate. This is a real story picked up by such outlets as Sacramento Bizjournals, MarketWatch, American Digest, and the Telegraph. It's also made its way onto Stormfront.
“Michelle Obama’s Makeover for America” presents an accessorized mannequin bust of Obama that foregoes the conventional pearl necklace, and provides for her a ‘signature look’ to take to Washington. “The goal is to create a look for Michelle Obama that eliminates excessive comparisons to Jackie Kennedy,” said Edwards, who studied under the tutelage of legendary fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez, “like supermodel Tyra Banks’s photos in Harper’s Bazaar, or the puzzling comment from CBS’s Byron Pitts that recommended ‘less Jackee, more Jackie O.’”
Adorning the breasts of Michelle Obama’s bust are temporary tattoos, of which an American flag is depicted, to compensate for Barack’s pin-free lapels. Additional breast tattoo designs for Mrs. Obama, by Chicago tattoo artist Alex Higgins, will also be exhibited.
And if would be fine - but for one exception. It is absolutely, positively inappropriate to be depicting the possible next First Lady of the United States with her breasts showing. There is a difference between depicting a First Lady as an attractive, healthy woman versus transforming her into a sex object. The First Lady of the United States is supposed to be more than just another twisted Nimbuster fantasy.
Imagine the outrage if someone unveiled a similar bust of Sarah Palin. Imagine the disgust if someone displayed a similar bust of Cindy McCain. This is just one more step towards the terminal sexualization of America. Barack Obama needs to step up to the plate and implicitly disavow this putrid piece of pornography by declaring that it will never have a place in the White House if he becomes President.
