WorldNetDaily Believes Mysterious New Website Portends A John McCain-Sarah Palin Republican Presidential Ticket

WorldNetDaily believes a website of mysterious origin portends the possible choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate. Read the full WorldNetDaily story HERE.

The url for the site is http://www.mccainpalin.com/.

The page displays paid political advertising and the statement, "Welcome to McCainPalin.com–the best source for information on the John McCain - Sarah Palin 2008 Republican Presidential Ticket. Stayed (sic) tuned for important announcements."

Nevertheless, despite a report by Washington D.C.'s Roll Call last week that Palin had submitted paperwork to the Republican national office, her press secretary, Bill McAllister, a former reporter for KTUU Channel 2 in Anchorage, told WND that McCain has given no indication of choosing her as his running mate. "The governor will play some kind of unspecified role in the convention," McAllister said, "but the only contact with the McCain campaign has been a request for her to participate in a national conference call on energy issues. There has been no outreach or vetting regarding the vice presidency."

Palin has drawn attention as a potential running mate because of appeal to the Republican base. She has personally demonstrated pro-life beliefs and a willingness to tackle tough issues, including an incident in which she took on Republican leadership in her state for ethics violations.

In July 2007, Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes wrote a column calling Palin a politician of eye-popping integrity. "Her rise is a great (and rare) story of how adherence to principle – especially to transparency and accountability in government – can produce political success," Barnes wrote. [Ed. Note: Fred Barnes is obviously a pundit of eye-popping ignorance.]

So who created the website? Several websites and blogs are promoting Palin for the GOP ticket, including Draft Sarah Palin for Vice President, PalinforVP.com and My McCain Blog, which created the campaign sign pictured above. Palin's press secretary acknowledged to WND that these sites have been in existence for several months and are consolidating their resources to rally Palin supporters. But all known supporters and bloggers contacted by WND denied any knowledge of who created McCainPalin.com.

Adam Brickley, a notorious Palinbot who is the founder of Draft Sarah Palin for Vice President, told WND he thought it was created by a supporter, but he really didn't know. "It has been up for a while and used to be a fully functional webpage with newsfeeds, bios, etc. However, the 'stay tuned' message is new," he said. "I really have no idea who runs it."

Opinion: Obviously, all these Palinbots need a wakeup call. While Sarah Palin continues to be qualified to serve as governor of Alaska, her persistent political troubles bespeak an incompetence and vindictiveness inconsistent with the standards expected of one who would be a "heartbeat away". And John McCain's age and health makes that "heartbeat" very precarious. Would you trust Sarah Palin with nuclear weapons?

Read all my previous posts on the Walt Monegan situation to familiarize yourself with Governor Palin's political troubles. They contain links to media stories and to Andrew Halcro's blog, where Palin's troubles are described in greater detail. And just now, the Anchorage Daily News is reporting that Sarah Palin is throwing Frank Bailey under the bus, placing him on indefinite "administrative leave".

  1. Despite the Dems and the allied main stream media’s desperation to see Romney as McCain’s Veep, Mitt is clearly out, with (1) Obama doubling down on the class warfare theme (McCain’s 7 houses) and (2) McCain doubling down with ads showing the hypocrisy of Biden attacking Obama in the primaries — Romney did way more than that contra McCain.

This leaves only Govs Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty. Pro-abortion Ridge and Dem-Lieberman were never real considerations, despite relentless media goading. Pawlenty’s lackluster TV performances, coupled with Palin pizzazz, the primacy of oil drilling and the ticked off women/Hillary voters, does now portend a McCain/Palin checkmate on the Dems. This is so albeit the Dems and liberal media dare not mention Palin’s name, that is, everyone but…..

And if there’s any question as to Palin being uniquely positioned and able to more than nullify Biden in debate, see the excellent discussion at palinforvp.blogspot.com

    Team McCain, well done!!!
