KTUU Channel 2 Coverage Of The Death Of Brigadier General Thomas Tinsley; Gunshot Wound Now Acknowledged As "Self-Inflicted"

Update July 29th: A memorial service for General Tinsley will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday July 31st at Hangar One on Elmendorf AFB. The public is invited to attend.

Because of the outpouring of interest in the story of the untimely death of Third Wing Commander General Thomas Tinsley, I am posting coverage by Alaska's leading broadcast news operation, KTUU Channel 2 in Anchorage. To avoid cluttering up my previous post, I've chosen to post this coverage separately.

The coverage consists of two videos embedded below. The first video is the standard news segment which was broadcast over the air. The second video is a 12+ minute press conference at Elmendorf AFB. This was not broadcast. Air Force officials now acknowledge the gunshot wound to have been self-inflicted, but it has not yet been established whether it was accidental or intentional.

The first video:

The second video (3rd Wing Vice Commander Richard Walberg conducting press conference):

Additional coverage now posted by the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
