The American Family Association (AFA) is asking us not to shop at either Walmart or Sam's Club on the Friday (Nov 24) and Saturday (Nov 25) after Thanksgiving, which are traditionally two of the most profitable days for retailers. They also invite us to sign an online petition to this effect. The goal is 1,000,000 signatures; as of this post, there are 347,782 signatures. There are two reasons to sign this petition:
First, Walmart has announced their intent to contribute 5% of all online sales to the Washington DC Community Center for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered People. The cash donation will come from ALL online purchases made at Walmart through the homosexual group's website. This move follows Walmart's joining the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and agreeing to give generous financial help to that group. very purchase made online for books, music, videos, clothing and accessories, children's clothing and toys, and electronics at the site will automatically send 5% of the sales to the homosexual group. With this agreement, Walmart made clear their support for the homosexual movement was a total commitment to the cause. Many observers feel it would have been a wise business decision for Walmart to remain neutral in the cultural battle over homosexual marriage. But this was an ideological decision by Walmart, not a business decision. Walmart decided to give the promotion of homosexual marriage their full support.
Second, as further evidence that Walmart's support for the homosexual agenda has become irrevocable, in the Out & Equal 2006 Workplace Summit Program Guide, Wal-Mart placed a full-page ad which explicitly stated that it would be an advocate for the homosexual movement. Keep in mind this ad was developed for the homosexual conference and aimed at participating homosexual groups. Not only did Wal-Mart place the ad in the program guide, they also gave $60,000 to Out & Equal, a homosexual organization pushing the same-sex agenda, including same-sex marriage, in the workplace. Out & Equal served as conference host and the donation went to help sponsor the Out & Equal Workplace Summit held this past September in Chicago. The purpose of the conference was to train homosexuals to convince the companies for which they work to support the homosexual agenda and to encourage other companies to do the same. At the conference, Pride, Wal-Mart's in-house homosexual group, presented a PowerPoint presentation detailing how they were successful in getting Wal-Mart to support the homosexual agenda. The PowerPoint presentation, telling Pride's story, contains 51 frames. Each page of the presentation contains the line "Confidential Wal-Mart Stores, Inc." It was used to encourage conference participants to follow Pride's example in the companies for which they work.

Commentary: I have amply documented the perversions attendant to the homosexual lifestyle. Not only do they inflate their numbers and engage in some of the most loathsome and filthy perversions known to mankind, but the gay rights lobby has attempted to ruthlessly suppress dissent, more so in Canada than in the U.S. In Canada, a pastor preaching against homosexuality can get hauled before a Canadian Human Rights Commission by judicial terrorists such as Richard Warman and get fined tens of thousands of dollars.
However, even if you don't object to homosexuality, you might want to consider signing this petition for economic reasons. Walmart associates make $7.15 per hour. This is NOT a liveable wage in America - it's barely a subsistence wage. So if Walmart has enough surplus money to be making contributions to political charities, don't you think it'd be better if they shared those excess profits with their underpaid associates instead? If so, why not sign the petition anyway to register your disapproval of their exploitation of workers?
It would be one thing if Walmart was contributing to a real charity like the American Red Cross or the United Way. But instead, they're contributing to a political charity instead of paying their workers more liveable wages. And to add insult to injury, it's a political charity designed for the promotion and protection of a practice considered an emotional disability by many and an outright perversion by some. Strike back at the predatory Walmart leviathon! Sign the petition today!

This artivcle is a part of the Wal-mart crucifying email going around - I received it this week in my mail box.
The [email] message was mass-emailed to about 3 million recipients by the American Family Association, a conservative Christian organization, on November 9, 2006.
It is misleading on several counts. The headline, "Wal-Mart Contributes 5% Of Online Sales To Homosexual Group," falsely implies that a percentage of Wal-Mart's online sales goes to the Community Center for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender People in Washington, DC. The truth, as reported by Cox News Service, is that the organization receives a 5% revenue share of e-commerce sales generated only by users who purchase Wal-Mart merchandise by clicking on the CCGLBTP Web site.
Further down, the email states that "Wal-Mart has agreed to automatically donate 5% of online sales" to the group, and in the next sentence again refers to the arrangement as a "cash donation." But it is in no honest sense a "donation," nor is it the result of a special agreementbetween Wal-Mart and the CCGLBTP. It's an affiliate program in which the group participates along with more than 43,000 other organizations -- including, according to a Wal-Mart spokesperson, at least 100 Christian groups. All participants receive a 5% commission for merchandise sold via click-throughs to Wal-Mart's Web site. The CCGLBTP has been an affiliate for four years, collecting a whopping $4.17 in commissions since 2002, according to
Cox News Service." The agreement," says the email, "is an indication that Wal-Mart is totally committed to supporting the homosexual movement."
Clearly, it indicates no such thing.
Make sure you're not passing rumours, misperceptions, and liberal agenda-driven lunacies in your emails. Check out all emails at Urban Legends or Snopes.
Don't be a flip-flopper, like the last presidential candidate, either Walmart supports the homosexual movement or they don't, and clearly they do.
Anonymous #1 - I fail to see a material difference between "online sales" and "revenue share", although it is fair to distinguish between "donations" and "commissions".
And perhaps some of those 100 Christian groups might not belong on the list, either.
Anonymous #2 - I would agree with your assessment. If they didn't support the homosexual agenda, why else would they have made this arrangement with the LGBT center?
homo-sexuality is an abomination in God's eyes. Not only that but it goes against Natural Selection. That is for both Christians an d people whom believe in science and not God. Any company that supports such groups will never get my business.
