South African Whites Bid For Their Own Homeland

Apartheid is coming full circle in South Africa. The National Vanguard website has posted the following article on a group of South African whites called "Boervolk", who are attempting through the legal process to secure a portion of South Africa as a white homeland. On the Stop Boer Genocide website, the Boervolk explain the differences between themselves and ordinary "Afrikaners" or "Afrikaans speakers":

The Boer nation came into existence through the merging of people from different
nations such as the Dutch, German and French. When the British came onto the
scene at the beginning of the nineteenth century the Boer nation was already in
existence. After the establishment of the Boer Republics, after the 'Great
Trek', the Boers were internationally recognized as a nation due to the
fulfilling of the general requirements of nationalism such as known origin of
descent, their own language, their own culture and traditions, and a history
formed by common group experiences.

Here is a synopsis from the article:

Synopsis: HISTORY IS UNDERWAY in South Africa once again, as the Boere, an indigenous White ethnic nation in their own right, declare their sovereignty and push for a separate homeland within the country that saw blacks legally disband the Apartheid system twelve years ago. Dr. Lets Pretorius, spokesman for the Boer nation (Boerevolk), and Mr. Riaan Smith, an attorney, met with met with Adv. Cetswayo and Mr. L.H. Mapholaba from the office of the Speaker of the South African Parliament on May 25th to discuss the Majuba Declaration, the Boervolk's formal demand for an independent homeland. The Cape Town meeting was organized by the Boerevolk Freedom Foundation, which is driving the push for self-determination.

The following statements were put forward during the meeting:

1. The Boerevolk is a definite entity and must be recognized as such.

2. There is a distinct difference between a Boer and an Afrikaner.

3. The Majuba Declaration is legally sound, based on section 235 of the Constitution of South Africa.

Mr. Smith and Dr. Pretorius then proffered two demands. First, that the Boerevolk Freedom Foundation and the Boerevolk be institutionally recognized. The Foundation will be the formal mouthpiece of the Boerevolk until an election of representatives or deputies of the Boerevolk has been held. Second, a forum be created to discuss related matters and demands of the Boerevolk. It was agreed that this forum will be held by the end of June, and will consist of delegations from both Parliament and the Boerevolk.

The Parliamentary delegation will include the Chairman of the Constitutional Committee; the Minister of Agriculture of Land and Environmental Affairs, to address the Zimbabwe-like land grab currently taking place in South Africa; the Minister of Justice, to address the injustices against the Boerevolk taking place in South Africa's legal system; the Minister of Safety and Security, to address the murders of farmers, and Black-on-Boer crime taking place. The Chairman of Human Rights of Minorities at the United Nations, Mr. Stauffenhagen, has also received the Majuba Declaration. However, except for the South African Broadcasting System (SABC), which has had some limited coverage of Boerevolk affairs, both the Boer's recent efforts for recognition and the Majuba Declaration itself have been given the silent treatment: Not a single source indexed by news.google.com -- which includes all major wire services -- has even mentioned the Boerevolk efforts, except for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). And even the SABC has, so far, frozen out any mention of the Declaration.

Analysis: Two chances of success - slim and none. Why am I so pessimistic? One of the officials mentioned above, the Minister of Safety and Security, Charles Nqakula (a former chairman of the South African Communist Party, pictured at left) was recently reported as telling South African whites who are dissatisfied to either quit complaining or leave the country. Considering how the persecution of Zimbabwean whites began with such statements, the peaceful long-term prospects for South African whites in a black majority government are distinctly not favorable.

And the list of white grievances against the black South African government grows daily. Recently, a group of white South African women staged a march, during which they identified the following laundry list of issues:

1. Our Heavenly Father is being disregarded in every official instance.
2. Violence has become uncontrollable.
3. Our people are being savagely assaulted, raped and murdered.
4. We have to lock ourselves in home-made prisons for our own safety.
5. Our land is being stolen from us.
6. Our children are being exposed to alien religions, history and values.
7. Police and the Courts openly display hostility towards the Boer nation.
8. Our people are being dismissed in the workplace, withheld from promotion and scandalously discriminated against.
9. There is blatant discrimination against Whites when tenders and contracts are awarded in favour of non-whites.
10. Our language is being ignored and disregarded in every way.
11. Our cultural property is being destroyed and violated.
12. Our Boer prisoners are rotting in prison while erstwhile terrorists and criminals go unpunished and are freely walking around.
13. These injustices against our people cry to Heaven.
14. To show proven support for the Majuba Declaration whereby we demand the right to self-determination.

Of course, this is either ignored or suppressed by the mainstream media because the establishment could not tolerate the revelation that another one of their "pet projects" is foundering. They still can't get over the fact that Zimbabwe is toast. The establishment promised us that if South Africa dismantled apartheid and gave itself over to black majority government, they would all be dancing in the streets wearing flowers in their hair and singing "kumbaya". What a bunch of bloody nonsense! South Africa's infrastructure is steadily unraveling. Crime is skyrocketing. More and more whites are falling into poverty. And the number of blacks in poverty has remained unchanged since apartheid days.

And South African whites must acknowledge their responsibility in encouraging so many blacks to come to South Africa. They decided they had to have servants to do their scut work, much like we import Mexicans, Central Americans, and other Third Worlders to do our scut work. South Africa could be America's future unless we wake up.

  1. It seems these "white" Afrikaners are complaining of things their not so distant ancestors did to the black South Africans in the not so distant past.
Maybe it's time for them to return to their ancestoral homelands of Europe?
I know that is a hard concept for some "white" nationalist to grasp but they really should give it some thought.
It pretty much shows that the "white" racists of the world believes the whole world belongs to them! Not just a nation here and there. They will never admit it though and I'm not sure who they are trying to convince, themselves or the rest of the world.

  2. Judith - It does seem it has come full circle in South Africa. However, expecting all whites to return to ancestral Europe would be just as costly and impractical as expecting black Americans born in America to emigrate to Africa. The time for repatriation would seem to be long past.

Furthermore, Europe is currently more densely populated than America, thanks in part to Muslim immigration into Europe, and it would be logistically difficult for them to accomodate millions of non-European whites.

Realistically, a long-term solution to our racial conflicts must make the best of the present demographic alignment.

  3. Well first of all it should be pointed out that the Afrikaners are not a monolithic group as they are composed mainly of those who were never Boers along with the smaller segment which were (& many still are) Boers.

Next. The Boers & Afrikaners in general can not simply just go back to Europe for a number of reasons. 1. The Boers & Afrikaners are a
composite of many different national origins some of which
    were non White as well.

The ancestors of the Boers & Afrikaners were Dutch / French Huguenot / German Protestant / Frisian / Flemish / Walloon with smaller but significant numbers of Scandinavians / Scots / English / Indian / Khoi & Malay which amalgamated to form the Boer & Afrikaner cultural / ethnic
group as early as the 1600s. The Boers & Afrikaners speak a language that is found no where else in the whole world: a dialect of which is called "die taal" (the language) by many Boers & is known officially as Afrikaans.

Dialects of this language is also spoken by the Griquas / Basters / Cape Malays & the Coloured or Brown Afrikaner population.

Another point as to why the Boers & Afrikaners could never go back to
Europe is the fact that they would never be allowed to enter as there would not likely be any room for them now.

The third point is that many simply can not afford to go.

At any rate the Boers & Afrikaners have only ever known Africa as their
home therefore Europe is never regarded as their "homeland" as Africa has been condsidered their home ever since the beginning.

Another thing to remember is that most of the ancestors of the Boers &
Afrikaners were practically trown out of Europe & taken to Africa without having much choice in the matter. The first settlers came as servants of the VOC & the French Huguenots came as refugees escaping political & religious persecution in France. A great number of Boers & Afrikaners have French surnames as well as even first names. It is not uncommon for a Boer or Afrikaner to be named Etienne Le Roux or Louis Le Grange or Jacques Du Plessis or Francois Pienaar (from Pinard) or Paul Roux to name a just a few.

Those who trekked eastwards & inland away from the areas near Cape Town / Franschhoek / Paarl & Stellenbosch in the Western Cape beginning in the 1690s & throughout the 1700s & into the expanding eastern Cape frontier were known as Trekboers & were the origins of the Boer people who went on to establish themselves in the Eastern Cape as Border Farmers (Grensboere) & a great number of their descendents would later be renown as Voortrekkers when they decided to leave the Cape en masse & Trek into the recently (due to the Difaqane) depopulated lands north of the Orange & Vaal Rivers known as the Great Trek. There they established a number of Boer Republics -they had a total of 15- in which the Natalia Republic / the Transvaal Republic (also known as the South African Republic) /the Orange Free State & the New Republic (also known as Vryheid) were the most well known & internationally recognized.

Now this is an important point to remember because the Boers were later conquered by the British after the second Anglo-Boer War in which an estimated 27 000 Boer civilians (many children under the age of sixteen) died in the concentration camps.

This is a highly relevant point because after the war the White Afrikaans speakers of the Western Cape -who were often known as the Cape Dutch (despite also having the same multi national origins as the Boers)- were in a position to gain from the political situation that they found themselves in due to their larger numbers than the Boers of Voortrkker descent.

These Afrikaans speakers from the Western Cape hijacked the Afrikaner
designation -which was only sporadically used prior to the Anglo-Boer War mainly to describe the White indigenous Afrikaans speaking people who had adopted Africa as their home since the 1600s- & decided to co-opt as many destitute Boers -not all Boers were co-opted- into this designation which they the erstwhile Cape Dutch now controlled through their numbers & ascendancy in the region.

The main reason for this was due to the fact that the Cape Dutch could not numerically overwhelm the English speakers all on their own & had to recruit enough Boers into their ranks in order to create an Afrikaans dominance within the political realm. A number of Boers resisted the new Afrikaner regime in 1914 with an armed rebellion which has as its aim in part the reestablishemt of the former Boer Republics.

The Boers were marginalized with the Afrikaner designation & were marginalized within the new state of South Africa which was imposed onto the Boers as well as every other race & cultural group.

The responsibility for who established the Apartheid laws is a much more complicated matter than most Westerners (myself included for many years) might realize. For one thing. The British passed the very first Apartheid laws in the Cape (as early as the Native Pass Law Act of 1809) & Natal. The Afrikaner Nationalists of the 1950s took the credit (as part of a dubious electoral platform in which they did not receive the majority of the votes a la USA 2000) but all they did was expand & build on over the previous British segregationist laws with similar names to boot.

The Boers are often held responsible for the Apartheid laws despite the fact that they were marginalized within the Afrikaner designation (those that even considered themselves Afrikaners as many still refered to themselves as Boers) & the proven & well known fact that the creator of Grand Apartheid Hendrik Verwoerd was from Holland with no lineage in South Africa at all. Even the Prime Minister who was elected on the Grand Apartheid (which built on over the earlier British Aparthied laws) platform: a one D F Malan was in fact from the Western Cape & could never honestly or historically be considered a Boer.

Therefore it is very important to remember this when considering the fact that it is the Boers of Trekboer & Voortrekker descent who are declaring their independence with the Majuba Declartation under the Transvaal Vierkleur & the Orange Free State Vierkleur as a distinct group even from the Afrikaners who marginalized them throughout the 20 cent. While there are also a number of Afrikaners who are also seeking to establish some from of independence they tend to do so under the Orange White & Blue tri colour Prince flag.
